Welcome to the Pokhara Astronomical Society (PAS)!

Founded in 2012 by a dedicated group of graduate students with a shared passion for astronomy,PAS has since blossomed into a registered non-profit organization in Nepal. Our primary mission is to make the wonders of the cosmos accessible to individuals of all backgrounds and ages. One of our core initiatives is to promote astronomy education, and we've taken this vision to communities far and wide.
Through our outreach programs, we've ventured to 25 districts across Nepal, reaching students in both urban and rural areas. Our programs encompass a diverse array of activities, including Astro kits sessions, Astro camps, telescope distribution, telescope handling sessions, night sky observations, and even collaborative research projects.
At PAS, we firmly believe that astronomy is not just for the elite but for everyone. Our motto is to empower and educate students, particularly those in the most remote and underserved regions, about the wonders of the universe. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that everyone, regardless of their location, has a fundamental understanding of astronomy.
